Magnolia Kitchen

This classic Magnolia home, originally built in the 1920’s, had a classic 80’s kitchen to update – laminate cabinets and counters, space for a large free-standing table, and cramped spaces lacking storage. A rework of the floorplan, including eliminating an unneeded exterior door, allowed us to expand the kitchen storage and move appliances for a larger prep area. Revising the table area with a built-in bench and buffet, with even more storage, really made the space cohesive, up-to-date, and helped to retain the coziness of 1920’s style house. Classic white cabinets brighten the space and retain the original character of the house, while warm, neutral limestone floors and quartz counter tops help create a timeless look and feel. Even without enlarging the kitchen, we managed to double the storage and double the prep space!
