Redmond Update

As typical with many homes built in the 70’s, this house had dark dingy millwork, bad lighting, closed off spaces, and more conundrums that did not allow it to be an ideal family home. The update consisted of almost the entire main floor, including family room, dining room, kitchen, and entry. The dysfunctional master bath was also updated as it was in dire need of help. The kitchen was reconfigured with a built-in bench to allow the workspace to expand, and appliances in this chef’s kitchen were replaced with top-notch large-scale versions for optimum cooking and storage. A wall was opened between the kitchen and family room and dining room, and the fireplace, family room windows, and finishes throughout were updated to bring the exterior light in and bring the home current. In the master bath; the vanity, shower, and tub were rearranged to allow for a larger vanity and more streamlined use of the bathroom for two. Classic finishes combine with modern touches keep this remodel feeling elegant but fresh.
